Arsenal: One major piece of Alexis Sanchez evidence continually ignored
By Josh Sippie
Arsenal will retain their grasp on Alexis Sanchez with a bigger contract, but this shouldn’t that surprising. One major piece of evidence has been ignored all year.
There is one thing that all media seems to have in common, whether they cover politics, local stories or sports – they all draw a large portion of their audience on fear. Fear sells. And in Arsenal‘s case, there is plenty of fear mongering to go around.

Plenty. And there is no greater font of fear mongering than Alexis Sanchez, who many view as “toot good” for Arsenal, or, at the very least, destined to leave because the Gunners seem to be flat-lining
Any tabloid out there runs continuous stories about how Alexis is as good as gone. Chelsea, Manchester City, Juventus, Bayern Munich, even Manchester United (Manchester United!) are being touted as bigger and better homes for the Chilean superstar.
They are piling up claims of ‘evidence’ that he is in negotiations with every other club out there other than the club that he continuously tells the world that he loves. Every time he is presented with a question of his future, he remains steadfast in his claims of loving everything about life in London, including the team, the coach, the team mates and even the fans, despite their protests.

Through it all though, there has been one major piece of evidence that is always reported, yet also ignored, as if it doesn’t even matter.
You may have seen the new pictures from Arsenal’s training session before the FA Cup final. The headline reads “Alexis in high spirits” and so on. And that is what has been ignored all year. Arsenal consistently publishes pictures of the team in training and no one, not a soul, looks to be enjoying himself more than the Chilean.
Yet he is grossly unhappy and packing his backs in his spare time? That doesn’t make any sense. Tabloids are selling themselves on the biggest fear Gooners have – that Alexis will leave – when in fact the likelihood of it actually happening is so slim. He wants to stay. He is happy here. He is massively enjoying himself at the club and he won’t have that at Bayern. Or at City. Or at United.
At Bayern, he is going to be a side show. At City he will be playing for the same manager he left behind at Barcelona and at United he would be in a volatile situation under a volatile manager where nothing is guaranteed.

Say it with me: Alexis. Sanchez. Is. Not. Leaving. He is happy here. He belongs here. And until we start to see actual evidence that he is unhappy, or anything remotely close, maybe even just ‘content’, then there is nothing to talk about.
