Arsenal: Heroic Aaron Ramsey should never again be doubted
By Josh Sippie
Arsenal found FA Cup glory yet again thanks to the heroic Aaron Ramsey. With so much heroism, should the Welshman’s presence ever be doubted? Absolutely not.
Stop me if this sounds familiar: The score in the FA Cup Final is tied as the final whistle approaches and Aaron Ramsey slots home to give Arsenal the win. It has happened before. The Welshman has this heroic streak in him that came to the forefront yet again in the biggest way possible against Chelsea.

Let me tell you something about that goal Ramsey scored. We have seen crosses like that before, and we have seen them often. But since Olivier Giroud was the one making the cross, we usually don’t see anyone on the receiving end.
Without the attacking intuition of Ramsey, that cross falls harmlessly to the Chelsea defense. No one else was thinking what Ramsey was. Or perhaps no one was as ready as Ramsey was. Whatever the case, it worked. Again.
Because of the heroism and intelligence, as well as the tireless antics of the Welshman, Arsenal go home the victors.
That marks two times now that Ramsey has stepped up to secure a crucial victory for the Gunners. The first time it came to end the decade-long trophy drought, this time it came to add a little light to a paltry season. Both times it was engineered by Ramsey’s creativity and forethought and both times it could only have been him.

Not only that, but Ramsey set a new record for distance covered in an FA Cup final, as the man trudged 14.4 km on the day.
Do you want to talk about what a hero is? Because Aaron Ramsey is most certainly one.
So much so that I think it’s fair to say that his presence on this club should not be doubted. Never again. Maybe he still struggles to stay healthy or to fend off what I hope will be added competition come next season, but the Welsh wizard belongs on this club. He has the quality to be with this club and, most importantly, the club is blessed to have him.
You can call his first instance of heroics a fluke, but when he does it twice, that argument is put to bed. Ramsey is simply a hero and in this new 3-4-3 formation he will start to find more and more success like he found in that FA Cup final. The system is built for him and he is clearly thriving within it.

I would still love to see Corentin Tolisso or Pablo Fornals or even Isco make their way to the Emirates, but unseating Ramsey in his new position of brilliance is going to be no easy feat.
