Arsenal’s at a crunch point with their attack, so best prepare for the Armageddon and land the best you can, which points to Emil Forsberg.

Arsenal has their manager locked down, now they have to turn their attention to maintaining their two superstars, Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil. The rumors are flying rampant and wild, reporting everything between “they’re both leaving, it’s certain” to “they are staying and getting exactly the contract they want.

The key thing here is that all we have is assumption. So the best thing we can do is prepare for both. And conveniently enough, both can be covered in one fell swoop, by landing Bundesliga sensation Emil Forsberg.

If you’re a naysayer, thinking that Alexis and Ozil are on the way out, then you’re thinking we need someone that can fill the gap as good as humanly possible. You want someone that can create with the best of them and score too.

Emil Forsberg had the most assists of anyone in all of the top European competitions. And he scored eight too.

If you are a believer, and think that Ozil and Alexis are staying, but you recognize that we need a bit of depth there, then you are thinking about who we can get that can actually challenge those two without demanding anything.

I have to admit, I don’t know Forsberg personally, but being at a big club and shadowing arguably the best creator in the world sounds pretty appealing.

However, everyone at RB Leipzig is of the opinion that their star Swede isn’t going anywhere. Which put a damper on things. That damper didn’t last long.

Just as we were going to count out a move for the Swede, his agent Hasan Cetinkaya, has decided to put everything back on the table.

Here’s what Forsberg’s agent had to say, as quoted by the Mirror:

"I will not comment on the clubs involved. There are big clubs who are very interested in Emil. He has made history in Germany. Of course, you know RB want to keep Emil, you need to constantly make sure to make Emil satisfied. He has paid back the club ten-fold. Maybe it’s time to test himself at a big club."

Forsberg solves a ton of the needs Arsenal has. He could even push Alexis back up into the striker position. He could use a trip to a big club. He would cost £30m, but so what? That isn’t insurmountable anymore.

Everything points to Forsberg. Now we just need RB Leipzig to relinquish their man so we can all live happily ever after.
