Arsenal vs Bayern Munich live stream: Watch Arsenal preseason online
By Josh Sippie
Arsenal’s preseason is getting serious now, with Bayern Munich up next. Here are all the facts and how to watch the match unfold.
Arsenal passed through Australia with flying colors, allowing the fans to see a combination of their new signings and the youth prospects we should be most excited about. This youthful energy combined with the steadfast presence of veterans worked well, especially when sprinkled with the desire to impress that came with Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac.

Now, though, it’s getting serious, with the kick off oft he International Champions Cup, which will pit long-time (and far too frequent) foe Bayern Munich against the Gunners in Shanghai Stadium.
This will be a nice little test for the club to judge its status, particularly with the 3-4-2-1 formation that seemed to revolutionize the squad last year. Having three at the back shut down the best and brightest attacks and to see it work against Bayern Munich, even in the preseason, would reinforce the belief in the new system.

Of course, Kolasinac is used to facing Bayern Munich, as too is Granit Xhaka (and all of the Gunners, honestly) so it’s not like this is David stepping up to fight Goliath. Especially not with the mixed results in the past. While Bayern do habitually knock the Gunners out of the Champions League, there have been some inspiring results from the English side.
Not to mention the fact that Olivier Giroud has a pretty solid record against the German brutes, scoring quite frequently against the feared Manuel Neuer.
It may only be the preseason, but both teams will be hungry to win. The key here is that Arsenal should be much hungrier than Bayern, who often treat match-ups with the Gunners like a joke. That shouldn’t sit well with the North Londoners and, given the skilled players they have, should encourage a bit of a spark.
Expect to see a lot of what we have been seeing already, with perhaps a bigger emphasis on cohesive team play and defense, as Arsene Wenger himself pointed out. Meaning there probably won’t be the amoeba XI that we saw in the second half against Western Sydney, where man players didn’t really have a position. This is more serious than that.
