Arsenal’s last preseason match before the Emirates Cup will be pitted against our dearly hated Chelsea. Here is all you need to know and how to watch.

Arsenal’s preseason tour of Australia and China is wrapping up at the Bird’s Nest Stadium in Beijing and who better to face than the runner-ups in this year’s FA Cup competition – Chelsea.

The Blues are coming off a Premier League title which, of course, is a pretty big deal, and will face the Gunners again on August 6th in the FA Community Shield, but for now, all we can do is beat them again and revel in the feelings that brings.

Defeating Bayern Munich, even in penalties, definitely kick-started some more optimism, but facing the Premier League Champs again and taking care of business against them will only serve to reinforce that.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

After the food poisoning bug in China, the Gunners should be back to full strength and given the players that were rested against Bayern, we have a pretty good indication of who we will be seeing a lot of. And two names stand out – Olivier Giroud and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Neither was even available as a substitute against Bayern, yet both figure massively into the first-team picture, meaning they will most likely be two of the biggest names on the pitch against the Blues. And they will be well-rested too.

Of course, we all want to know how this match looks in terms of Alexandre Lacazette. It will obviously be his first match against a major Premier League rival while wearing an Arsenal shirt and the pressure will be felt. That said, a goal or two here, even in the preseason, will help further put to bed any lingering doubters.

Alex Iwobi is another name to keep an eye on, as he has been on fire thus far into the preseason.

The striker situation in the Premier League was shaken up massively by all the big teams, as Chelsea made their own purchase in Alvaro Morata. He won’t be seen for obvious reasons, but with so many new, featured strikers coming in to lead these top tier teams, it should be quite the show and quite the race for the golden boot.
