Arsenal: Alexis Sanchez Paris tweet cover-up buries all alibis
By Josh Sippie
Arsenal’s increasingly problematic Chilean, Alexis Sanchez, tweeted from Paris yesterday. Don’t trick yourself into thinking that it’s nothing.
Arsenal’s summer saga with Alexis Sanchez hasn’t been enjoyable, but it’s become so long and drawn out that at this point, and I realize I am speaking for myself here, I don’t even care anymore. Arsene Wenger has admitted that the likelihood of Alexis hanging around past the end of his current contract is slim to none.

So I honestly don’t care if he plays at all this season. Especially after this latest episode.
Just two days after a thrilling opening day match against Leicester City at the Emirates, Alexis sent out a tweet without turning off the location on his phone. It read “From Paris, France,” as in that place where he has been spending an awful lot of time and where PSG happen to be located. He deleted the tweet soon after, but soon is never soon enough. It was seen.
Two days. That’s it. And I don’t believe he is nursing his ‘abdominal strain’ in Paris. He is talking up a move and wanting to get away.
Which, I don’t need to even say it, is shameful, treacherous and kind of akin to a snake. There have been so many snakes in the past few years at Arsenal, but I never imagined that in their renewed state (yes, it is much better than it was) that there would be another coming right from the top at our best player.

Of course, PSG have recently landed Neymar, making him the most expensive player in the history of ever and they have also been heavily tied to landing Kylian Mbappe. Adding Alexis to that attack would make them right up there on the level of the La Liga giants and Bayern Munich. And they did it the exact same way, through an unlimited transfer fund and a realistic chance at the Champions League.
Amazing how Alexis is turning out to be just like everyone else. It seems like just yesterday we were swearing up and down that he was an Arsenal man and that he chose the club for its culture, yet now it’s looking more and more like he’s going to jump ship to a club that does things the complete opposite of what the Gunners do.

I am more than open to hearing logical explanations as to why he was could be in Paris that don’t involve him trying to secure a move. There simply isn’t any excuse that I can see.
