Arsenal vs FC Koln live stream: Watch Europa League online
By Josh Sippie
Arsenal find themselves in the unfamiliar Europa League, but there are plenty of reasons to be excited. Here are all the ways to watch.
Arsenal are being mocked for having to play Thursday night football in the Europa League, but it should work out for the better, as the Gunners can utilize the competition to appease fringe first-team players while also giving them a chance to prove themselves.

Both Jack Wilshere and Olivier Giroud are in need of a stage to show that they can and should be more involved with the Premier League side, as both are incredibly loyal Gunner soldiers who just want the club to be successful.
Wilshere needs match fitness and these side competitions are the perfect place to achieve that rather than the U23s. As we keep saying ad nauseum, there are few things more inspiring than an in-form Wilshere.

We will also see our promising youngsters out there for the Gunners, as no one can get enough of Reiss Nelson, the 17-year-old that could be the needed burst of energy that Arsenal can often sorely need. Nelson is an attacker, but it would not be surprising to see Wenger utilize the Englishman as a wingback as he did in the preseason, to great effect.
There are only seven players for sure that we know won’t be out there, as those seven are bonafide first-teamers that weren’t in training this past week. Among those seven was Danny Welbeck, indicating that he may have done the impossible and relegated Alexis Sanchez to Europa League duties until further notice.
FC Koln is not off to a good start in the Bundesliga this year. They currently rank dead last through three games, with just one goal scored and a huge seven surrendered. They are the only team in Germany not to have at least one point yet.
It’s important to never take anything for granted, but the Gunners should be looking at a match that they can put away relatively early and – ideally – by a convincing margin. So much of the Europa League is about confidence for the Gunners and getting started strong at home behind the likes of fan favorites Wilshere, Giroud and Nelson would be a huge boost. Even if it is ‘only the Europa League.’
