Arsenal vs FC Koln player ratings: Sead Kolasinac crushes disaster
By Josh Sippie
After a delayed start to the match thanks to the exuberance of FC Koln fans, Arsenal made us worry. Here are the player ratings:
Arsenal had to get the day started an our later thanks to a massive 20,000 FC Koln fans that were intent on letting the world know that they were proud of the team. Gooners jokingly said that they would be the away fans for the match, despite it being played at the Emirates.
It was a horrible affair from the start. After a poor clearance from David Ospina gave Koln a 45 yard screamer off the foot of Cordoba, not a single Gunner felt the need to change anything. Well, except Mohamed Elneny.
It was the worst half of football I’ve seen since Sheffield Wednesday. Everything about it screamed pathetic and as they traipsed off the pitch at half, something had to change, as is too often the case with this club.
The second half changed things, mostly due to the reversion to the 4-4-2 and the introduction of Sead Kolasinac, who took matters into his own hands and rescued the game from certain disaster.
Here are the player ratings, starting with the keeper:
Now, let’s talk the back three.
