Arsenal’s Europa League quest continues with a journey to Belarus to take on BATE Borisov. Here are all the facts and where to watch.

Arsenal’s journey through the unfamiliar Europa League takes them to Belarus where they will take on BATE Borisov in matchweek two. The Gunners spent matchweek one wondering how 20,000 FC Koln fans managed to get into the stadium and give their team enough enthusiasm to take a 1-0 lead into half.

BATE Borisov figures to be much different, seeing as how it isn’t at the Emirates, but rather quite far from it.

Naturally, the No. 1 thing we all want to know if who Arsene Wenger will deploy. Several first team players were not on the plane for the trip, including Mesut Ozil, who apparently doesn’t need to test his fitness before Brighton on Sunday.

And yet, Wenger has indicated that he will only start two youngsters in the match. Ainsley Maitland-Niles figures to be one of them and the other could be anyone, with Reiss Nelson obviously preferred. Yet the young man has already made it clear that wingback is not for him.

It will be the rotational squad out there, with two big stories to follow. The first being Olivier Giroud. The big Frenchman has been stuck on 99 goals for far too long and, with a nice compliment of regular team mates out there with him, it should be assumed that No. 100 will come in perhaps the least likely of places – Belarus.

Behind Giroud is the other story – Jack Wilshere. The Englishman is holding down the base of the midfield in all of the secondary competitions and, last time out against Doncaster, he was able to go the full 90 minutes for the first time in quite awhile.

Granted, he was pretty well gassed at the end, it’s a step in the right direction, and the next step comes here, against BATE Borisov.
