Arsenal will hope to make it four straight clean sheets as they host Brighton & Hove Albion. Here are all the facts and how to tune in.

Arsenal’s defense was in shambles in the early parts of the season. Which shouldn’t be surprising, as they always seem to collapse right as the season gets underway. Lately, however, it’s been a completely different story.

The Gunners have had three straight clean sheets in the Premier League, and while, yes, one was against Bournemouth at the Emirates and the other was against West Brom at home, the Baggies can indeed be gritty. And, of course, the start of the clean sheet streak was Chelsea. At Stamford Bridge.

So yes, the defense is starting to click, and there should be full confidence that they will continue to click as we go on to host Brighton & Hove Albion at the Emirates.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

The Seagulls have scored just five goals in their first six games and three of those came in the conspicuous 3-1 win over West Brom.

What I’m hinting at is this absolutely better be another clean sheet. The only major question mark is where Shkodran Mustafi’s fitness levels are at following his trip to Belarus to face BATE Borisov in light of Calum Chambers‘ absence.

On the attacking side of things, this will again not be the first time we get to see Alexandre Lacazette, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez all on the pitch together. Supporters have been clamoring for this trio to become a reality, but as of yet, it just was not to be. And with Mesut Ozil out, that isn’t going to change.

Arsenal have no other significant injuries that we haven’t already been dealing with, but the Seagulls do have one key absence. Tomed Hemed, their aerial menace of a striker, is missing due to suspension, meaning that the Gunners will have one less problem to worry about.

Which is always a good thing, given how rickety they can look on set pieces.
