Arsenal: Jack Wilshere’s fears double as club successes
By Josh Sippie
Arsenal landed a true monster (in a good sense) in Sead Kolasinac, and the fact that Jack Wilshere would hate to face him is a club success.
Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, often heralded as so fearless that his very fearlessness has led to countless injuries, has spoken out about the new fearless Gunner, Sead Kolasinac. And from one fearless man to another, Wilshere has admitted that he would hate to have to face the Bosnian, because of just how no-nonsense he is.

Wilshere went on to highlight how much of a fan-favorite Kolasinac is becoming and it doesn’t need much examining to figure out why. It’s been said time and again but I will go ahead and say it one more time – he is everything this club didn’t previously have.
He is also everything the supporters wanted the club to have, and were begging Arsene Wenger to wise up and pursue. It never happened.
Until Kolasinac.
Although it must also be stated that one reason fans clung so furtively to Wilshere and his potential return(s) is because of the very same hopes. Wilshere is fearless. He has no qualms going up against anyone.

If you need proof, watch the time he headbutted Marouane Fellaini in the chest. The reason he only headbutted him in the chest is because that’s as far up as Wilshere could reach. But that didn’t matter to him, he wasn’t scared.
The problem with Wilshere’s fearlessness is as mentioned earlier – it led to far too many injuries. It’s not like that just goes away though. It may not be as big a part of his game as it once was, but we still know who he is.
For Kolasinac, it is still a big part of this game. The biggest part, arguably. So when Wilshere says he would hate to face Kolasinac, it is a rousing success for the club because it means that, you guessed it, Kolasinac is one big bad dude.
But let me again highlight that despite how strong and mean and fearsome the Bosnian is, he isn’t clumsy. He isn’t kicking out ankles and collecting red cards. He’s remarkably tidy for his style of player and this comes down to the supreme level of skill that he possesses.

Wilshere knows what being fearsome is all about. If he, the guy who backs down from no one, would hate to go up against Kolasinac, then we’ve got the right guy back there.
