Arsenal will be looking to remain perfect in their Europa League group against Red Star Belgrade at the Emirates. Here is all you need to know.

Arsenal were slated for dropping into the Europa League after two decades in the Champions League, but they’ve made themselves look pretty good in the process. Using a primarily rotational squad, the same competing against lower-tier English opposition, the Gunners have cruised, with minor hiccups, the perfect start to the European campaign.

For the Gunners, the squad won’t look much different. They struggled mightily when they faced off in Serbia, as a stale attack couldn’t seem to break down the Belgrade defense.

It took another wonder goal from Olivier Giroud, started by a Wengerball extravaganza from Jack Wilshere, to secure the three points. But in the end, it’s these tough wins that can lift a team to where they need to be.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

At home, things should be a bit easier. Wilshere will be able to settle into a performance in front of adoring fans and, ideally Giroud can find a bit of footing. He has struggled to produce consistent goals, even in midweek fixtures, and if he wants to establish any hope of increased Premier League exposure, he is going to need to do something special.

On the defensive side, that’s where the questions come up. If it were up to me, I’d never allow Mohamed Elneny to play center back competitively ever again. Or at least until he can prove to be more of a defender and less of a midfielder.

Thankfully, that might all be moot if Calum Chambers is given the chance to get back out there. I have been out of my mind with excitement, hoping that he can establish himself, which is only as far away as his health. These are the kinds of matches that he can accomplish that feat. He just has to return to full fitness.

On the Red Star side of thing, they are still sitting top of the Serbian SuperLiga table. They have won four of their past five games, with the only loss coming from their foes today.

It always figures to be an interesting game, so let’s get you the match facts so you can watch.
