Arsenal have a fantastic opportunity to make headway against Burnley, but same goes vice versa. Here is all you need to know, including how to watch.

It’s all going rather swimmingly for both Arsenal and Burnley. Tied at 22 points in the table, a win for either side would send them leap-frogging over Liverpool and Spurs and into fourth place, just a point behind Chelsea.

Which just adds to the stakes of an already smashing fixture that was always going to be a tight affair.

From Arsenal’s standpoint, disregard the midweek loss to FC Koln because it meant absolutely nothing. Rather, pay attention to the fact that it was them who broke Spurs at the Emirates in preparation for their subsequent home draw against West Brom.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

They will be in quite high spirits going into the match and they will have options galore in terms of who to send out there. Injuries are quickly dwindling, as both Shkodran Mustafi and Danny Welbeck have returned to full healthy, with the former proving to be the key piece of this defense against Spurs.

The only remaining injuries are inconsequential, as Santi Cazorla has been out for ages and Theo Walcott is not needed.

For Burnley, they haven’t given up a goal in three consecutive matches to Swansea, Newcastle and Southampton. Although that isn’t exactly the highest opposition. Prior to that they did give up three goals to Manchester City, a total that the Gunners should be looking to match.

Tom Heaton remains out for Burnley, with Johnathan Walters and Dean Marney also unlikely to hit the pitch.

The stakes are high for this one. With Manchester City drifting away at the top, a loss here would be detrimental, but a draw would be to ignore a premium opportunity for serious grounds-gainage.
