Arsenal continue to reap the rewards of Sead Kolasinac and despite being subpar against Huddersfield, he is clearly still at the top of the food chain.

Arsenal’s demonstrative win over Huddersfield Town was thrilling to watch (if you factor out the hour or so where things were nervy). The entirety of the attack flowed together so well and Mesut Ozil in particular was simply stunning to watch, as he netted a goal and two assists in the span of four minutes.

Surprisingly, one man that was not a huge factor was Sead Kolasinac. The beast from Bosnia displayed all of his usual strengths, bursting down the touch line, into the box and proving himself absolutely unstoppable.

But where he slipped up this time around was in delivering a final ball, or in his decision making as to what that final ball entailed.

He often seemed unsure if he should shoot or pass and that hesitation was his undoing, as he worked himself into a hole and was unable to wriggle himself out.

But in the meantime, he had himself a solid game. Defensively he was stoic and rampaging down the touch line, he was simply unstoppable. Martin Tyler said it best, when he gets into his stride, he is so hard to stop.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

I will take it a step farther and say that when he gets into his stride, no one can stop him. We’ve seen him for several months now and not once has he shown himself vulnerable to anyone accept himself.

Sead Kolasinac has no natural predators. He’s like a rhinoceros. There is nothing else out there that can stop them once they hit their stride.

The only thing that was able to stop him was his own misgivings, but as he settles into his new home and his new team, those misgivings will disappear and in its stead, a conclusive, rampaging masterclass will appear.

It’s nice to have a player that you don’t have to ever worry about. Folks on Twitter were saying he was having a sup-par day, and he was, but even in the midst of that, he was never once a liability and he still managed an assist when Olivier Giroud scooped the ball off of Kolasinac’s toe and slotted home. He still created three chances, second most on the team.

It’s been said before, but it can’t be said enough, Kolasinac is a special player and we are quite fortunate to have him. He is only going to get better.
