1. Carabao Cup is a trophy to be won

Although the latter decade has been somewhat disappointing, Arsene Wenger is a prolific winner. The Premier League title may have evaded him for over 13 years, but three league titles, seven FA Cups and seven Community Shields proves his will, and ability, to win.

But for all of the trophies that he has won, he has never lifted the League Cup, in any of the iterations that the lesser domestic cup has camouflaged as. Two final losses, the latest of which was in 2011 against Birmingham City. But no wins. Well, now he has a great chance to finally secure it.

Arsenal are now in the semi-finals. Manchester City will join them after their penalty win against Leicester City. They will find out the other two semi-finalists on Wednesday night. But while the competition will not be easy, the Gunners have as good a chance as any.

The opportunity to guarantee a trophy for the season by the end of February should not be wasted. Just because the Carabao Cup is not well thought of does not mean that Arsenal should not value it. A trophy is a trophy. Wenger should go to win it.
