Arsenal: Alexis Sanchez exit has one preordained winner
By Josh Sippie
Arsenal are still drudging through the need to make a decision regarding Alexis Sanchez, but no matter who he goes to, there is one clear winner already.
Arsenal are now watching as the two Mancunian clubs duke it out over who can heist Alexis Sanchez first. There have been ridiculous swap deals proposed, there have been varying cash-only deals and there have been pre-contract talks as well.
There was supposed to be a definite answer for both Alexis and Mesut Ozil by the end of December, but either that isn’t the case at all, or they just aren’t telling us, which has led to an endless carousel of rumors regarding the Chilean in particular.
No matter what happens, whether he exits this month or has to wait until the summer, there is going to be one definite winner, and as strange as it sounds, that winner is Arsenal as a club.

Superstars are great and all, but there comes a time when they can be a burden and an ankle weight rather than a boon. That’s not to say that Alexis doesn’t still have his uses and his value on the pitch. Of course he does.
That’s just to say that as it stands, the club is mired in mediocrity and they can’t move forward until Alexis moves on. he is taking up too much playing time, too much influence and too much money to allow for someone new to come in and push this club forward.

Until that happens – until we have that new leader, that new influence, Arsenal will remain mired in the Alexis blues.
There are so many names being linked to the Gunners. So many amazing and promising and exciting names. We can’t fool ourselves into thinking that there is no one in the world like Alexis. In fact, some of the excitement about who is coming in to replace Alexis has to stem from the fact that whoever that person is, isn’t Alexis and, as such, indicates a fresh start and fresh enthusiasm.
At this point, I’m not even that concerned about who is coming in the opposite direction. There are far too many incredibly realistic names linked to the club for it to be a total fiasco. All I care about is getting Alexis out of the club (again, assuming that he does want to leave) so that the Gunners can move on with life.

Of course, priority should be placed on getting him out of the country most of all, but even if that can’t be arranged, securing the exit can’t be put off any longer.
