Arsenal lost to Brighton, which is hardly even surprising. We got together to discuss just how unsurprising it was while trying to take a positive spin.

In the latest episode of the Pain in the Arsenal podcast, Andrew, Henry and Josh bemoan the Gunners’ 2-1 loss against Brighton and Hove Albion, their fourth in succession, digging into just how it could possibly get any worse, and even spin some golden threads of positivity.

Somehow.

There was actually a surprising amount of laughter and jovial chatter, showing just how insane the Gunners have truly made us.

Then it turns to AC Milan and how the Gunners can hope to travel to the San Siro, what their chances are of winning, and if they should even bother to take a striker with them at all (spoiler alert – maybe they shouldn’t).

This episode includes:

  • Moaning over Brighton
  • Josh praising Granit Xhaka
  • A look ahead to AC Milan
  • And yes, positive thinking

As always, we tried to end on a positive note, reminding ourselves that this is, in fact, the Arsenal, and as this is the Arsenal, there will be a time where they bounce back, probably at the end of the year, fooling us all into believing that times are changing. We will then all fall for it and repeat this year all over again.

No really though, there are positives to take from this horrific run, and we were focused on those positives so as not to spend the entire episode complaining.
