The Premier League returns with Arsenal set to welcome Stoke City to the Emirates. Here are all the match facts and how to watch the action.

After two unbearably long yet remarkably stress-free weeks, Arsenal are returning to irrelevant Premier League action to face off against dearly beloved relegation bait, Stoke City. The Potters come into this match desperate for points while the Gunners have absolutely nothing to play for.

Which means this should be immensely entertaining, as anything could happen. The Gunners will have to find a way to motivate themselves in the face of an always rambunctious Stoke team.

Over the past two weeks, the Gunners have had only one thing happen – Mohamed Elneny got himself a new contract. Which is all well and good, as we may well see him out there against the Potters from the opening whistle, especially considering the various health problems at play and the upcoming match against CSKA Moscow on Thursday.

That said, the Gunners do have a bit of an injury mess to tip-toe around. Aaron Ramsey and Alexandre Lacazette are both listed as doubtful, despite being included in training. I would assume that both will miss, given the lack of impetus on this match when compared with the Europa League later on.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles is also a doubt due to lacking fitness.

Then there is Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac, both of whom picked up knocks, with Kolasinac’s likely being the worse of the two, as he suffered a knee injury serving international duty for Bosnia against Senegal.

It comes down to the fact that no one really needs to be risked.

Stoke City are facing an even bigger injury crisis. They will for sure be without Choupo-Moting, Ireland, and Grant due to injury, as well as Charlie Adam due to suspension. Biram Diouf is a doubt, as is former Spud, Kevin Wimmer.

Geoff Cameron, the American centerback, is also a doubt.

All of that with Stoke already three points back and the two teams ahead of them with a game in hand. Tough luck, Potters.
