Arsenal’s send-off of Arsene Wenger begins against West Ham United. Here are all the ways you can watch the first match of the beginning of the end.

Arsenal’s season was meaningless, but now it’s not. Arsene Wenger is stepping away from the Gunners at the end of the year and, as such, we will see this collection of players inspired like never before to give him the send-off he deserves.

Or at least that is the idea. We will see how the execution is carried out over the next few weeks, starting with West Ham United today.

West Ham are hanging out just outside the danger zone, but they can’t feel completely safe just yet, after what has been an abysmal season that very few expected to come to pass. That said, they still have weapons capable of plaguing the Gunners, namely Marko Arnautovic, who has plagued us in the past, just in a different shirt.

Apparently he’s a striker now, too, so this defense will have their work cut out for them to keep him contained.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

From the Gunners perspective, there isn’t much to talk about other than the likely rotation given the impending start of the Europa League semi-finals this coming Thursday. As such, you can’t expect many of the regulars to be out there, except perhaps in a substitute capacity. Mesut Ozil and Laurent Koscielny fit that mold in particular, but Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere may also be held out with their own respective lacking of fitness (aren’t they always).

Other than that, Henrikh Mkhitaryan will not be back in the fold just yet, though his return may be pegged as early as the first leg against Atletico Madrid.

The fact that this is no longer a meaningless game has me excited to see just how much gumption this Arsenal team has. The man that build this current, under-achieving bunch is leaving and they owe him so much more than they’ve given. The least they can do is pile on the hurt to any and all opposition.

Needless to say, we will be seeing the heights of what these players are capable of.
