1. This is why Arsene Wenger’s going

I guess, in the end, this is why it had to end. The inability to manage games proficiently. The repeated and relentless defensive failures. The missed opportunities, the lack of winning character, the absence of leadership and communication and sensibility. This is why Arsene Wenger had to leave.

Those weaknesses, in their isolated state, are not Wenger’s fault. One defensive mishap is never a manager’s fault. He is not the one between the white lines. But when they happen with such regularity and consistency and now extension of time, questions of the man in charge have to be asked.

These type of errors stem from the culture of the club, a culture that is defined by Wenger. That does not mean that, every now and then, they can buck the trend, surprise us all, and showcase the characteristics necessary to succeed. But, sadly, that is now an anomaly, not the norm.
