Arsenal: Zeljko Buvac rumors are utterly absurd, yet very frightening
Of all the laughable rumors surrounding Arsenal’s vacant managerial position there are none as far fetched, yet terrifying as Zeljko Buvac being appointed.
There has been an abundance of managers rumored with the much coveted Arsenal job. Of those farcical rumors, one stands head and shoulders above the rest. The rumor that took social media by storm today is that of Zeljko Buvac being linked with the Arsenal job.
Buvac has been Jurgen Klopp’s No. 2 since the prolific German manager’s spell with Mainz in 2001. With every rumored manager, there is an abundance of positives and negatives, in Buvac’s case the negatives certainly outweigh the redeeming factors.
Positives of Employing Buvac
Buvac has been labeled by many as Jurgen Klopp’s “brain”. The Serb-Bosnian international has no shortage of footballing knowledge. Only recently has he decided to part ways with Liverpool for “personal reasons”.

Liverpool’s social media pages are insistent on the brain of Liverpool’s operations still being an employee of the reds. Other than his evident knowledge of the game there isn’t many reasons as to why Buvac is a front runner to fill Arsene Wenger’s shoes.
Buvac and the negatives of an inexperienced manager
Other than a three-year spell with German league eight’s SC Neukirchen, Buvac has absolutely no experience managing a football club. As most people know, being the manager of a football club is significantly more difficult than being the assistant manager.
Despite the role of an assistant becoming more and more crucial in the modern game it is still very different. Primary manager’s have to deal with all the pressure put on the managerial staff. He has massive shoes to fill and if he fails to deliver, Arsenal fans will inevitably call for his head.

Ivan Gazidis clearly wants to take a risk in appointing the Gunner’s next manager, but Buvac is far too large of a risk. Other inexperienced names such as Mikel Arteta have also taken some lime light as of recently, but either appointment would be a massive mistake.
Don’t worry, the Buvac rumors are pure speculation
Is there any chance of Klopp’s number two becoming Arsenal’s next manager? Of course. There is also a chance that Wolverhampton can win the Premier League next season. The rumor’s were based off of Buvac’s exit from Liverpool which are not confirmed by any source with the reds themselves. According to various reports the Serb-Bosnian’s father has fallen incredibly ill, which warrants the reason as to why he’s stepped away from football.
