Arsenal: Alexandre Lacazette proving consistency is key
By Rory Picton
It’s nearing the end of the season, Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette has just hit amazing form. Can he continue this goalscoring next season? I hope so.
Arsenal‘s Alexandre Lacazette has been in fine form as of late, scoring plenty of goals, creating chances, and doing all manner of attack-building necessities. And with his partnership up front with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, one can only see more goals to come. He has worked hard all season and deserves this.
Lacazette was brought in from Lyon for a then-club-record fee of £46.5 million. Right off the bat, he was compared with club legends such as Ian Wright and Thierry Henry. He may not have lived up the heights set by those greats this season but he has been consistent.
He has now scored in each of his last three Premier League games despite the drought that plagued him around the turn of the new year.

He may be small in stature but he makes up for it with pace, quick feet, and intelligence. He knows where he needs to be to put the ball into the back of the net.
With the signing of Lacazette in the summer of 2017, Arsenal fans thought they had found the perfect player. The Frenchman has an amazing first touch and is gifted with pace and power going forward.

Lacazette’s goalscoring record has never been in doubt, he had been ever so prolific for Lyon, scoring twenty-six goals last season, something many Arsenal fans want to be here in London. Lacazette just has a knack for scoring important goals, the one against Manchester City at the Etihad earlier in the season always comes to mind.
The addition of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Fast-forward to January 2018, Arsenal just wrapped up the deal that will see Olivier Giroud go to Chelsea and world class Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang joins the Gunners.
As a fan, if you wondered how two world-class strikers can compete in a one-striker system, well, the answer appears to be you play one out wide. Since the addition of Aubameyang, Lacazette has flourished. Has this new competition brought out the lion so many fans have been waiting to see? If anything Lacazette is becoming a nuisance for opposition defenders to handle.
