Arsenal need Aaron Ramsey, and now they have Unai Emery, and the two are already huge fans of each other with the best of the duo yet to come.

Chemistry is an incredibly hard thing to find, and it certainly can’t be bought. Yet it’s what makes teams tick. It’s what was supposed to give Arsenal a leg up over the Manchester magnates and the sudden bottomless pockets of Liverpool. Only that “chemistry” was too riddled with complacency.

With new manager Unai Emery coming into the team, that chemistry gets shaken up a bit. The task falls on him to gel these players together for that extra push that Arsene Wenger was never able to give them.

That becomes a lot easier when you already have a player on the team that you’re a great admirer of, and it gets exponentially easier when that player has a mutual feeling of excitement to be working with the new manager.

This all doubles when that player has the potential to be one of the best in the world, frequently proves himself to be, and is in a rare echelon of players with unbelievable instincts for the game.

I’m speaking of Aaron Ramsey, of course. When Unai Emery came into the club, Ramsey was one of the two players he highlighted as key figures and immediately I thought, “how astute, to pick out Ramsey, who also needs a new contract and could very well be handed the captain’s armband.”

I even considered if it was’t a ploy by Emery just to get Ramsey more intrigued about the proposition of playing or a new manager.

But when Ramsey fired back that he was so excited for his future under Emery, I was just tickled. What could be better?

Then it was revealed that Ramsey and Emery haven’t even met yet and, as of the Welshman saying this, hadn’t even been in contact. And yet they are both chomping at the bit to build this team around each other.

The best of these two hasn’t even begun. They haven’t met yet, and still they are both keenly aware of what the other brings to this situation. I don’t know how this could get any more exciting. Well, I do. A new Ramsey contract, his official captaincy, and the start of the season.
