Arsenal: Lethal Lacazette deserves to start next to Aubameyeng
Since Pierre Emerick Aubameyeng signed for Arsenal, Alexandre Lacazette has been casted aside on many occasions. The dynamic duo should start in unison.
When Alexandre Lacazette was signed by Arsenal, there was no doubt that he was under the impression that he would start week in and week out. Since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyeng signed from Borussia Dortmund, the idea of the Frenchman starting has been put into doubt on a perpetual basis.
Moreover, the prospect of the potent pair starting together has strayed further and further away from being a reality. But, why? Arsenal have two world class strikers at their disposal for the first time in years. It is absolutely criminal not to start either of the two in any given game. Starting them simultaneously would benefit both exponentially given their undeniable chemistry.
Alexandre Lacazette
When Lacazette pulled the gorgeous red and white kit over his shoulders for the first time, fans were consumed by jubilation, which is an unfortunate rarity, being a Gooner.
Since the days of he-who-shall-not-be-named (Robin Van Persie), the reds of London have lacked a truly world-class striker. After some impressive performances, it looked as though the Gunners had finally landed a true goal-getter.

To add to the already, dazzling attack came the top scorer of the Bundesliga, Aubameyeng. Immediately, the fans demanded the pair start together, but given Arsene Wenger’s preferred system of only using one striker, it did not seem likely. The two played together on a few occasions and seemed to correlate fantastically.
Since Unai Emery was appointed, the likelihood of the French and Gabon international starting in tandem seemed to be more of a realistic proposition. However, when the first league game of the campaign rolled around just recently, many fans were disappointed to see that Lacazette was starting on the bench.
Pierre Emerick Aubameyeng
Despite Aubameyeng being known for having extremely heavy impacts on whatever team lies in his wake, he was rather pedestrian against Manchester City. He seemed to be isolated on numerous occasions and did not play any real part in the game until his French teammate was subbed on at the beginning of the second half.
Lacazette’s introduction seemed to rejuvenate and help better organize the slightly sloppy and lethargic attack.
Aubameyeng benefits massively when his French mate is playing alongside him and Lacazette will grow disgruntled if he is not given play time on a consistent basis. The pair grounded in diversity could be a crucial point in deciding whether Arsenal are able to find themselves in the Champions League, where they belong, once again.
