Defence

RB. Arsenal. HECTOR BELLERIN. 5.1. Always – ALWAYS – hit or miss. He either does something great or he flubs. He played West Ham attackers onside so many times I thought I was going to lose my mind. He got burned so many times that he finally just started pulling the man down when they got around him. And yet two goals came because he gets forward so well. So don’t let anyone tell you we don’t have any wingers. Bellerin is a winger. He’s just not a very good fullback.

7.2. Again I found myself very pleased with his performance. He played the offside line well, he looked very intelligent throughout, with where he positioned himself, and it feels like he is being given more freedom to get forward, which is letting him showcase more of his strengths. More of this, please.. CB. Arsenal. SHKODRAN MUSTAFI

6.5. I feel like he found himself in the final twenty minutes. He had been shaky, but never enough to be a real problem, but towards the end, when we needed solidity, he all of a sudden became the Sokratis we were promised. He was rough and physical with attackers, he played the way he wanted to play and showed no timidity. If he can play like he did in those final twenty minutes from here on out, then we have succeeded.. CB. Arsenal. SOKRATIS

I know he scored a goal, and it was a very well taken goal, but he is getting exposed even more than he was last year. Countless times he was burned on that left flank, same as his fullback mate, and forced Sokratis to pull out wide, which forced Mustafi to be the only centerback. The goal patched it up this time around, but we can’t rely on him for goals. We should be relying on him for defensive solidity.. LB. Arsenal. NACHO MONREAL. 6.9
