Arsenal travel to Newcastle United as the Premier League returns on Saturday afternoon. Here is the Gunners’ predicted starting XI, including a possible start for one Lucas Torreira.

Praise the Lord! The international break is over. The Premier League has returned. For Arsenal, that means a trip north and to St James’ Park to take on a struggling Newcastle United side that has fallen to Manchester City, Chelsea and Spurs already this season — tough sledding for the Magpies at this early stage of the season. Nevertheless, Unai Emery should show no mercy. He and his team need the three points.

Goalkeeper

Petr Cech may still not look very comfortable whenever he gets the ball at his feet, but that does not mean that Emery is close to dropping him any time soon. Cech is the starter. Until he does some catastrophic or gets injured, it will remain that way. Bernd Leno should get used to that bench.
