Substitutes

Arsenal. LUCAS TORREIRA. 8.0. MAN OF THE MATCH: I feel a little sly giving the Man of the Match to a substitute, but the disparity in the collective performance from the first to the second half was such that it seems unfair to give it to anyone else. Torreira completely and utterly changed this game. How? He played simple, he played fast, and he played forward. Football is a very easy game when you play it like that.. SUB

6.5. Showed some nice touches here and there. His presence out wide does make this team very slow, but he is clever and creative in the final third, which does deserve time to take effect. Still, a starting role looks beyond him with Emery trusting Ramsey and Ozil at this point.. SUB. Arsenal. HENRIKH MKHITARYAN

7.0. Put a really good shift in when he was introduced. Hounded defenders, tracked runners, lunged into challenges and ran in behind. Should have been more aware when Lacazette slipped him through to tee up a teammate, but he is an excellent player to bring on late in games and close them out.. SUB. Arsenal. DANNY WELBECK
