Deep Midfielders

CM. Arsenal. LUCAS TORREIRA. 7.5. Nice first start from Torreira. Scrappy in midfield, so much so that he was willing to try and make a tackle with his head, and comfortable on the ball, Torreira looks impressive every time he has taken to the pitch. He did drop a little too deep at times in the first half, but this was something that Guendouzi also did against Newcastle (I wonder if it is an instruction from Unai Emery). Hopefully he starts in the Premier League soon.

6.0. Didn’t really do much good or bad. This was a very typical Elneny performance. Solid, reliable, not many mistakes, but also not many moments in which he pushed the enveloped, tried to play the risky pass or created anything of note in the attacking third. Still, this will likely be Elneny’s bread and butter and his experience will be useful in this competition.. CM. Arsenal. MOHAMED ELNENY
