3. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang & Lacazette The Deadliest Duo In England

Coming into the season there was wide speculation about how Emery would utilize his two £50 million strikers. Alexandre Lacazette had to start life on the bench to start the season but since breaking into the starting XI he has hammered down his position.

The Frenchman has the physicality and link play to function as Arsenal’s focal point. While there is no doubting Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s immense talent, the Gabonese striker seemed to struggle with imposing himself on games when he lacked service.

Playing Aubameyang on the left is not ideal, but the chemistry between him and Lacazette is extremely palpable. It is no surprise that Aubemyang’s first goal of the season came via an assist from Lacazette.

When Arsenal needed a moment of magic to break the deadlock against Everton, Lacazette stepped up with a world-class strike.  Aubameyang added the second and essentially put the contest to bed. This proved that even when the team as a whole fails to function Arsenal has two strikers who can absolutely decide a match with their individual brilliance.
