Arsenal return from international break with the hopes of extending their win streak to ten. Here is how they may line up to accomplish that.

Home or away, Arsenal have been winning matches. Ugly or smooth, Arsenal have been winning matches. They have taken maximum points since those initial two losses, and while it’s been a slow-build, it is quite clear that they are indeed building towards something great.

It started with an attack that was carrying the team. The midfield shaped up next, and arguably steals the show now. And the defense is also starting to shape up now as well. Meaning that, in very little time, this club could actually manage to have a complete unit, with rotational options to boot.

That doesn’t mean that a pitfall isn’t always a very real possibility, though. They are simply weeding out that possibility slowly but surely.

But as it is a work in progress, there are still plenty of question to ask before each team selection, although not much is likely to change while the win steak continues. That is, barring injuries, which we have a few of. So let’s cut to the chase and get to the predicted starting XI.

Keeper

This is one of the few positions where there just aren’t any other options right now, so Bernd Leno will continue to hold down the role for the foreseeable future. Ideally, that won’t be disrupted when Petr Cech comes back, unless Leno actually deserves to be set aside, in which case, have at it.

Leno has been 100% effective in what capacity he has been called on, and while it’s still a small sample size, we are definitely seeing the necessary groundwork to justify more prolonged exposure from the German keeper.

Leicester City have scored the most goals of any team outside of the top six, and with Jamie Vardy always a right nuisance, the threat is always going to be there. Not to mention the state of this Arsenal defense being a threat in and of itself.

Still, we should certainly be hoping for clean sheets any time we take the pitch. Let’s have one here.

On to the fullbacks.
