Arsenal will be looking for ten straight against Leicester City, but before any of that, they have to pick a team, and a statement will be made with it.

Arsenal have a test ahead of them against an always-potent Leicester City, but they are on one hell of a tear, and we have to assume that they will be the better team. The question will come down to taking their chances, and that starts with the starting XI that Unai Emery sends out there.

Making it ten wins in a row would be a major statement, one of serious intent and anyone that doesn’t want to count this club as title contenders will have a tough time making sense of it when the team wins ten in a row.

But that isn’t the only statement that needs to be made. Unai Emery has to make a statement as well with his starting XI choices, because yes, he has choices, and they are mainly to do with the attack.t Fulham, despite being healthy

As it stands, the attack is quite healthy. So much so that there aren’t enough spots for all the players that should be playing.

And… with Aaron Ramsey currently in his contract fiasco, I wonder how much Emery will rely on him if he can’t rely on him long-term. He is without a doubt trying to find who can be a steady presence for years to come, and Ramsey, right now, isn’t.

A similar situation goes with Mesut Ozil. Ozil hasn’t gelled with Emery’s new style and with the other options that are ready and raring to go, it’s always possible that Emery tries something different. Although, it isn’t something different, because the other options that he has – Mkhitaryan and Iwobi – are absolutely capable of taking any responsibility that is handed to them.

Not to mention Danny Welbeck, who actually fit in really well last time out, alongside Lacazette.

There are a lot of options here such that Emery doesn’t have to feel handcuffed like Arsene Wenger did to start Mesut Ozil. And he doesn’t have to start Ramsey because he has no other options. That isn’t to say that Ozil and Ramsey should be sat, I’m just wondering how long Emery sticks with them when they each provide their own complications.

All will be answered against Leicester City. It’s as simple as that.
