Arsenal have a lot pf players that needed an extra bump to turn a corner, and now it’s Sead Kolasinac’s turn to make that turn.
Arsenal are making a significant amount of progress as a unit under Unai Emery. With all of the individual powers combined, they have become something pretty powerful, and something that is to be commended.
But that all starts at the individual level. It all starts with those specific players that are making the club tick. And in order for that to have been as effective as it has been, those players have to make advances, because a lot of them were stuck in limbo.
Unai Emery has been helping a lot of players turn proverbial corners in their own shortcomings and, ideally, he will help many more to come. Sead Kolasinac is next in the line of guys who really need to overcome his own downfalls.
Kolasinac is a superb player with fantastic qualities, all of which the Gunners need. His attacking quality is top notch, his athleticism is superb, his drive and determination is second to none and he’s just a strong dude with a mean streak – something that fans just love.

But he keeps getting hurt. And as long as he keeps getting hurt, he won’t be able to make it around that all important corner that he needs to make it around.
Look at all the players who have turned corners this year. Alex Iwobi, for one, has improved by leaps and bounds. Specifically, he doesn’t quake and quiver around the goal anymore.
Hector Bellerin has turned a massive corner as well. It may not have started well, but the more the season has gone along, the more it’s become clear that he is making strides, namely in the attack, but strides nonetheless.
Shkodran Mustafi made a turn against Liverpool, stepping up for a big match yet again and proving that he is an incredibly talented defender…. again.
And Mesut Ozil? Ozil has shown in the last three matches how different life under Emery is, and how much he is changing as a player (in a good way).
This is needed from Kolasinac. Not every player is going to face the same obstacles, and therefore not every player is going to have the same solution or the same timeline. But whatever it takes to get Kolasinac around that corner, it needs to happen.
