1. Lucas Torreira
I hope Lucas Torreira feels just as good as he made all of us feel against Tottenham. Or… like, all season. Because this guy has been tearing it up all year and he’s just been getting better and better. So much so that he has not only emerged again on this list, but finds himself as the most important player in the coming match.
For many of the reasons we saw against Tottenham, in particular, that he is starting to attack more. He made that very Ramsey-esque run to score the goal with a very Lacazette-esque finish and all the while, he never forsook his defensive duties.
Best part is he now has a taste for it. The monkey is off his back, he is going to be sniffing around for more.
And then there is the matter of Granit Xhaka being out. Matteo Guendouzi ranked in at No. 6 on this list (and therefore didn’t make the cut), but it will probably end up falling on Torreira to handle the ball more than he is used to. Which just means more responsibility, which I think we can all get behind.
Because honestly, right now, every issue that the Gunners face can be solved with one man – Lucas Torreira.
