MATTEO GUENDOUZI. 7.7. Hated the flop. Loved just about everything else. His pass to set up the Aubameyang assist was so Xhaka-like that it was scary. A perfect pass. Also had a shocking five chances created, to lead the team, at least one of which was a golden opportunity for Lacazette that was horrifically squandered. Still, this was the kind of match he needed to prove that he should be starting.. CM. Arsenal

7.7. Man of the Match. Don’t hate me for saying this, but he had a pretty rough match aside from the two shots. Doesn’t protect possession well when he’s trying to start a counterattack and lost it on numerous occasions. His passing was also lackluster at times. That said. His first shot was a thundering effort that was on target. His second shot was a damn bicycle kick that gave the Gunners the lead, so forgive me for thinking he deserves man of the match despite the mistakes laden in his play throughout the match. Also didn’t win the ball back well at all. But the shots, man! The shots!. CM. Arsenal. LUCAS TORREIRA

7.6. “But what about that one bad pass and the one time he had the ball taken from him?” Yeah, don’t care. It was a sloppy game all around, he wasn’t any worse than anyone else. And not just that, he was actually really good getting back to defend. He led the team in tackles with Kolasinac, he lead the team in clearances, he led the team in aerials won. He was second in chances created. Yeah, he got sloppy a couple of times, but when you touch the ball 111 times, twice as much as any other player, chances are, you are going to experience more problems. The fact that he experienced no more than anyone else is testament to how well he did on either side of the mistakes.. CM. Arsenal. GRANIT XHAKA
