Substitutes

5.9. So loose with the ball. Didn’t complete a single one of his attempted dribbles. Was introduced to the game to change things and while he did make a few clever passes, he was more just banging his head against the wall. Not the match he needed to get himself back into starting contention.. SUB. Arsenal. ALEX IWOBI

Arsenal. HENRIKH MKHITARYAN. 6.8. A bit time instigator once he came on. Faded there towards for awhile, but his effort was always something to bank on, and still is. Actually was successful at keeping the ball, whereas Iwobi wasn’t. Arguably had more of an impact on the match that Aubameyang (outside of the assist), but who’s comparing?. SUB

Great to have him back. Maybe I was just happy to see him, but he looked quicker and more conclusive in his dealings in this one. Will be interesting to see how he works himself into the staring XI. Of course, with all the injuries and suspensions, it may be easy against Southampton.. SUB. Arsenal. NACHO MONREAL. 6.3
