Centerbacks

Arsenal. SOKRATIS . 8.7. My favorite match from Sokratis. He was a monster in so many ways on the way, and at every step in the process, he kept that firm, chiseled look on his face, like nothing could possibly phase him. Put in a massive 11 clearances, as he yet again assumed the role of being the patron saint of no nonsense. Filled the aerial duties the game requires nicely and was the rock at the back that we’ve needed. <p>He also gets a 10/10 for his wrestling.</p>. CB

6.2. Was actually playing quite well as the left-sided centerback before going down with an injury. Had a couple important defensive plays, including a superb, thudding header out of danger.
