Centre-Backs

SHKODRAN MUSTAFI. 6.9. Really shaky early on. Like he just had a really intense leg workout and couldn’t control the ball because of it. Did settle into the game late on and was reliable as can be in the second half, which is good, because we desperately needed him to be, with all the pressure that Huddersfield was putting up. Actually ended up being a decent match for him after the initial shakiness had passed.. RCB. Arsenal

8.1. Man of the match. He’s a game changer. He is the exact defender that the Gunners need. I wish we could just vacuum 10 years off of him and keep him for another decade. The confidence he inspires on the defense is palpable. Should have done more on that late goal, as can be said of everyone else, but overall, this match was so highly impacted by Koscielny that you could say he was the reason why we took three points at all.. CB. Arsenal. LAURENT KOSCIELNY

Steady. Which is all we really should have been asking for. Had a couple moments when he should have positioned himself better, namely on that late, crap goal that they shouldn’t have given up, but the whole defense was switched off then, so what can you do?. LCB. Arsenal. NACHO MONREAL. 7.2
