Central Midfield

6.3. Very quiet. Both midfielders were, as the spotlight was clearly on the strength out wide. And it’s not like a lack of involvement is a bad thing. He’s there to be an enforcer, which wasn’t entirely needed. He’s not there to create chances, at least not yet, and he wasn’t asked to do so. Did what he had to do and you can’t ask much of that for him.. CM. Arsenal. LUCAS TORREIRA

6.4. Same as Torreira. Didn’t have much to do because others were doing it. Did take a much bigger role in the second half, as the Gunners were in a bit more of a desperate state than they might have expected. Read the passing lanes well and did his best to establish control, but there really just wasn’t any control to be had. And yes, <a rel=. CM. Arsenal. MATTEO GUENDOUZI
