Front Three

Alright, so this is the part where I probably keep making the same mistakes I’ve been making – expecting Unai Emery to appreciate the dire situation we are in in regards to creating chances and pull out the desperation switch.

Given that we just had a pretty hard-fought match against Huddersfield, and given that Henrikh Mkhitaryan has only just return from injury, he’s the man that I have making way in favor of the bold prediction that I never thought would be so bold – Denis Suarez will finally start, and the Europa League will become his competition. He has won it before, after all, when he was with Unai Emery.

Opposite Suarez, Alex Iwobi will likely be given a chance to double up on the Huddersfield match, which started so positively, and ended so… well, not. These two young midfielders are here to create chances, so give them the chance.

Up front, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang should be back, and given the extra workload that Alexandre Lacazette has taken in his partner’s absence, a swap may be just what is needed to give the Frenchman a break and give Aubameyang a chance to get back to his scoring ways.
