Arsenal travelled to Belarus on Thursday night to face BATE Borisov in the first leg of their Europa League tie. Here are the player ratings from the 1-0 defeat.

Well, that was terrible. In the first leg of their Europa League round-of-32 tie against BATE Borisov, a team that they hit for six last season, Arsenal laid a complete egg, losing 1-0 and giving themselves some major work to do in the second leg in a week’s time. Unai Emery’s team created some good chances in the first half but could do little in the second as BATE sat deep and protected their lead.
