Front Three

RW. Arsenal. ALEX IWOBI. 6.5. Inconsistent. Clearly affected by the pitch, with the ball often sticking under his feet, much of what Iwobi attempted in the final third did not come off. But at least he was trying things, and when BATE were pulled open, it often involved the Nigerian. Combined nicely with Kolasinac down the left flank and, with a little more luck, could have engineered a goal or two.

HENRIKH MKHITARYAN. 4.0. Anonymous for most of the match. Started really sharply with some nice movements and lovely passes to create openings, but essentially did nothing from the 15th minute onwards. Missed a great chance in the opening 90 seconds, though he did little wrong with it, but then proceeded to offer very little in the final third. Time for something — or someone — new.. LW. Arsenal

3.0. I have been a major proprietor of Lacazette throughout the season. He is one of the best players in the team and should be starting each and every match that he is available for. But this was a terrible performance, and not just because of the sending off in the dying stages. The flailed elbow was born out of frustration, but his lack of movement, unwillingness to run in behind, and misfiring finishing were to blame. A major off night.. ST. Arsenal. ALEXANDRE LACAZETTE
