7.4. No real individual complaints. The defense as a whole had some crucial mistakes in the first half, but in the second, they defended quite well. And dare I start the conversation by stating that he may actually be well-suited to play as a rightback in the future? That would solve a lot of problems all at once if it pays off and after seeing him play in the second half as a very effective rightback, I don’t see why it can’t at least be considered. Had a lot of positive attacking plays in this one.. CB. Arsenal. SHKODRAN MUSTAFI

7.3. Maybe a bit more to blame for the balls over the top, as they occurred on his side of the pitch, but much like Mustafi, after the hectic first half where the defense was a bit shaky, they defended quite well in the second when Southampton were throwing everything into the attack and the Gunners, meanwhile, had no answer on the attacking end..
