4. Mesut Ozil

I hate that I had forgotten how fantastic it is to see Mesut Ozil at his best. I hate it. This season has been one to forget for him, but against Bournemouth, he’s never been better. It’s been a slow build in recent weeks, but here we stand at a precipice to do something really special – make him consistent, just like Unai Emery wants.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

And if that is to be the case, he is going to have to perform against clubs like Tottenham, and not just perform, but really do something special.

The reason he is so low on the key players is that I don’t know if Emery will opt to start him. It seemed to be like Bournemouth was kind of a feeler match, to see what Ozil could do, but now having seen what he can do, I don’t see how you don’t start him against Spurs, unless the intent is to save him for if you need an offensive kick.

But whatever the case, Ozil showcased game-changing abilities, and with it so recent in our memories, it’s unlikely that he will drop off the form cliff that easily. Watch him in this one.

On to No. 3.
