Arsenal vs Rennes predicted starting XI: Wherefore art thou, Mesut Ozil?

No. 10 and Striker
For the first time in quite awhile, this is the easiest position to make predictions for. A lack of options certainly helps.
With Alexandre Lacazette serving the second match of his three match ban, that leaves Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to start here no matter what. He will be coming off a crucial penalty miss against Tottenham that clearly had him rattled, so hopefully, with the unanimous support of his teammates, he will be able to get back into the swing of things here and take come momentum into the weekend match-up.
At No. 10, I would be immensely surprised if Mesut Ozil didn’t get the start. He was left out against Tottenham, rightfully so, and didn’t do much of anything when he did come into the match for the last twenty minutes or so.
Facing Rennes is a much tastier match-up for him, as you figure he will have more opportunity to get comfortable and really control the ball, making magic as he sees fit.
Plus, I have to imagine that if he wasn’t deemed good enough to face Spurs, he won’t be against United either, but let’s see how he does against Rennes before making that leap.
