Arsenal. LUCAS TORREIRA. 6.5. His work with the ball is still limited, and he needs players like Xhaka and Guendouzi around him to progress the play forwards. But he is so busy without it that he needs to be starting almost every game. Struggled to settle into the game, but he was the best player in the second half bar Koscielny and Ozil.. CM

4.5. I was so hoping to give him a positive grade. He started really well for the opening half-hour or so, spraying passes around like he was really comfortable. And then, when Sokratis trudged down the talent, apparently, so did Xhaka. In the second half, he kept fouling and was lucky to not be sent off, his passing was extremely erratic and panicked, and he committed a series of turnovers, including one in his own penalty area. Being pressed high with a numerical disadvantage is the worst possible scenario for Xhaka.. CM. Arsenal. GRANIT XHAKA

MESUT OZIL. 7.5. Really, really good. A very different Mesut Ozil performance, but a very good one. He was almost better in the second half than the first, offering a crucial outlet to ease pressure. His ability to hold and keep the ball was invaluable and even some of his defensive work rate was noticeable. This wasn’t the Ozil that was expected, but I am not complaining.. CAM. Arsenal
