Arsenal: Denis Suarez missing one thing in his quest to quiet
By Josh Sippie
Denis Suarez has lashed out at the critics yet again, and we should all be celebrating that, but he’s still missing one key thing until he’s accepted at Arsenal.
For whatever reason, I’m still amazed at how awful the media and fans have been surrounding Denis Suarez‘s loan move to Arsenal. I should have seen it coming, but the comparisons to Kallstrom, calling him a disaster, it’s all been so ridiculous.
I know I (semi) jokingly said that Suarez’s biggest test wouldn’t be acclimating to the Premier League on the pitch, but adjusting to the venomous media and fans off the pitch, but that actually may prove to be the biggest obstacle.
Twice now Suarez has lashed out at his critics. The first time he posted on Instagram to “let them keep talking,” and now he’s gone on a bit of a tangent about how much he wants to be exactly where he is, and how all the talking heads don’t know anything about him.
I love it. I love to see this kind of spunk from a player, especially when he’s in the situation that Denis Suarez is in, where playing time is hard to come by because of the over abundance of tremendous attacking players.

It’s setting up to be like a righteous crusade for Suarez to quiet the haters, and while his training videos and verbal defenses are on point, he’s really only one key component away from shutting them up.
He just needs one good match.
Doesn’t even have to be a start. Doesn’t have to be a goal frenzy or a treble of assists, just a single match that is so obviously good that not even the most desperate haters can criticize him.
Thankfully, that last step doesn’t seem to be that far away. I was rejuvenated in my Suarez confidence after Manchester United. He looked like he had come so far in his brief month and a half in the Premier League, and his physicality, which was a concern against Manchester City, looked to have multiplied.
But he needs to do more than back down Luke Shaw once. Which he absolutely will do, hopefully as soon as his next time out.
It’s just around the corner. You can catch the glimpses of Suarez’s quality poking its head out every so often, but all he has to do is have one match where he goes above and beyond. That’s it.
