Back Three

2.0. Passing was awful, taking far too many touches to release a simple, five-yard ball into the midfield, was lost in trying to deal with Bernard, which in turn dragged the central midfield out of position, and then was slightly fortunate to not be sent off when hauling down Calvert-Lewin late in the second half. Calvert-Lewin ran he and Sokratis ragged all game.. RCB. Arsenal. SHKODRAN MUSTAFI

CB. Arsenal. SOKRATIS . 5.0. Sokratis certainly had the awful moments of Mustafi and many of his teammates. He was rightly booked early on for tussling with Calvert-Lewin, whose hold-up play, size and speed caused Greek defender serious strife throughout, but made some crucial interventions in the second half to keep the game at 1-0. He will also now miss the next two matches through suspension.

NACHO MONREAL. 4.0. Was not helped by the advanced positioning of Sead Kolasinac in the first half and the lack of a hardworking winger in the second, but Monreal did not exactly cover himself in glory when he was asked to defend either. Richarlison was a major threat for Everton throughout, his speed pulling Monreal wide and deep time and time again, especially on the counter-attack.. LCB. Arsenal
