Arsenal: The case for selling each and every player this summer
By Josh Sippie
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Here I go again, about to make the case for someone to be sold that I don’t actually think should be sold. But then again, when you think about the funds we could raise from selling this one guy? Like, some serious moola. The kind of moola that it could take to give us some serious spending money in the transfer market.

The thing with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is that he is not as good as Alexandre Lacazette, it is that simple. He is not as useful. He needs a lot of help around him to be at his best and, even then, he is going to miss a lot of chances, and that is a stressor that maybe we can do without, given the amount of stress that is going to be piling on as we move into next season.
We don’t even have to go big to find suitable replacements. We can bring Olivier Giroud home, assuming he doesn’t sign a new contract. Aubameyang isn’t a “do or die” player. He’s certainly more valuable than, say, Mesut Ozil, but he has enough drawbacks that I don’t see him as untouchable. Not like Lacazette is.
He’s a luxury player. His biggest boon is going to be if our other luxury players are sold, because it will allow for higher likelihood of retention for Aubameyang.
Also, arguably the biggest case for not selling him comes from not wanting to break up the dynamic duo up top. But since I have to make the case for everyone, it’s now been made. And the facts:
Will we sell? Maybe.
Should we sell? No.
Ideal transfer fee: £80m
Again, not everyone in this list should be sold, nor do I think they should be. But each and every player on this list could be sold, and I don’t think that should be a shock.
