Calum Chambers

If Unai Emery had foresight and was able to see the path his defense was going to take, I’m 100% sure he would not have loaned out Calum Chambers. Chambers had just signed a new deal, he’d shown up at the end of the previous season, and he really needed the first team time, which apparently this “expert” defense just couldn’t allow.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

So he had a deja vu season, going to a relegated side, playing incredibly well, and proving himself yet again.

Chambers continues to prove himself further down the table and he continues to prove himself in what little capacity he is allowed to at the Emirates, but with such drastic overhaul needed, Emery may see Chambers as a potential cash cow, what with Chambers’ fancy new Arsenal contract and his full season of solid play with Fulham.

Other teams know that Chambers has thrived when given full seasons to do so. So a mid-table club with European aspirations may see Chambers as a delicious chance to solidify their core if, for whatever reason, the Gunners still don’t.

Will we sell? Probably.
Should we sell? No.
Ideal transfer fee: £22m

We will now move into, shockingly, our only left back. Remember, Nacho Monreal doesn’t have a new deal yet, and a new one would surprise me. So Sead Kolasinac is next.
