The 2018/19 season has come to a close. But how did each Arsenal player perform over the past year? Here are the complete player ratings from the season.

The first post-Arsene Wenger season is in the books. I never really thought I would write that sentence, however inevitable it was. But here we all are. Wenger has departed. And Unai Emery has now arrived. And Arsenal have moved on, some players better than others. So how did all of the current crop perform in the 2018/19 season?

Petr Cech – 6

It was a strong season for Petr Cech. It was always going to be difficult when Bernd Leno arrived in the summer as the clear number one, but Cech performed admirably in a reserve role, especially in the Europa League and domestic cups.

His mark is docked slightly for struggling with playing the ball out of the back, a shortcoming that was accentuated by Arsenal’s improved play when Leno, not Cech, was between the sticks. But overall, Cech played well, a nice bow on what has been an incredible career.

It will be sad to see him retire. He has been a model professional throughout his time in the Premier League, well-liked among two rival fanbases, which is a sure sign of his character, but it was time for the Gunners to move in a new direction. Speaking of that new direction…
